NEW YORK, NY - In what's sure to be one of the most raucous events of the Halloween season, fuse, the nation's only viewer-influenced music television network, is gearing up for the first-ever fuse Fangoria Chainsaw Awards, a night dedicated to celebrating the best in horror-themed films, television and music. Premiering on Sunday October 22, 2006 at 10:00 pm ET/ 7:00 pm PT, the ghoulish festivities will kick-off at 9:30pm ET / 6:30pm PT with a half-hour Black Carpet pre-show. fuse VJ Steven and former Full House darling, Jodie Sweetin will host the preview, where they will chat up, and critique the highly anticipated fashion donning the nominees, performers and presenters to be featured in this scary award show spectacular.

Hosted by the irrepressible Jamie Kennedy, the fuse Fangoria Chainsaw Awards will feature live performances by acts including 30 Seconds to Mars and Avenged Sevenfold, as well as award presentations from Rob Zombie, The Used, Slipknot, Fall Out Boy, Chingy, Gym Class Heroes, Korn's Jonathan Davis and Cobra Starship (additional names to be announced). fuse will wrap up the festivities with a special half-hour episode of The P.A., fuse's home-grown mocumentary series about life at the bottom of the music network food chain.

Josh Taub and his buddy Dave Murden are at it again as they go behind the scenes at the Chainsaw Awards Post-Show Party beginning at midnight ET. Leading up to the Black Carpet pre-show on Sunday night at 9:30pm ET and the Chainsaw Awards at 10pm ET, fuse will air an entire weekend of horror-themed music programming.
