Six Flags Announces Guest Code of Conduct for All Its Parks

New Initiative Is the Most Recent Element in Company's Commitment to Improving the Family Environment Throughout Its Parks

NEW YORK, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Six Flags announced today a new Guest Code of Conduct to support its goal of improving the family environment throughout its parks. To encourage all Six Flags guests to be considerate of others in the park, the Six Flags Guest Code of Conduct will require them to comply with a set of rules and policies designed to make the park experience fun, safe and appropriate for children and families.

The Six Flags Guest Code of Conduct centers around four areas essential to maintaining a family-friendly park atmosphere -- Behavior, Dress Code, Language, and Park Policy Compliance -- and will be posted prominently outside the ticket sales areas of every Six Flags park. While all Six Flags parks currently implement individual policies customized for their varied rides and attractions, this is the first time that the company is asking all park guests to comply with an overarching code of conduct that covers all its parks. The parks' individualized policies will remain in effect as well.

"For the 2007 season, we will be implementing another park policy designed to enhance the family experience at all our parks -- the Six Flags Guest Code of Conduct. We announced our non-smoking policy for the 2006 season, and it continues to garner extremely positive responses from our guests; with the Six Flags Guest Code of Conduct, we are taking another step on the road to standardizing the Six Flags operation nationwide so that the brand is synonymous with family-friendly," said Mark Shapiro, Six Flags President and CEO.

The Six Flags Guest Code of Conduct:

Six Flags' goal is to provide entertainment to guests of all ages in a fun and safe environment appropriate for children and families. To encourage all our guests to be considerate of other guests, they are required to comply with the following rules for expected guest conduct.

Behavior: All guests are expected to behave in an appropriate family- friendly manner. Unruly, disruptive or offensive behavior, including line- jumping/holding places in line is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Violations of this policy may be cause for ejection from the park without refund.

Dress Code: In keeping with our family-friendly atmosphere, and for health and safety reasons, Six Flags strictly enforces a dress code. Proper attire must be worn in the park at all times, including shirts and appropriate footwear. Clothing with rude, vulgar or offensive language or graphics is not permitted at any time (shirts cannot be turned inside out as a solution). Bathing suits may be worn only in waterpark areas.

Park admission may be denied if clothing is deemed by management to be inappropriate.

Language: Guests using profanity or abusive language, symbols or gestures may be ejected from the park without refund.

Park policy compliance: Guest safety is our top priority. In addition to the Six Flags Guest Code of Conduct, guests are required to comply with all local, state and federal laws as well as individual park policies, rules and instructions posted or otherwise listed.
