BET Continues Search For BET Awards '06 Ultimate Fan
Four Finalists Remain As Voting Nears End Winner Announced On June 12, 2006
DESCRIPTION: While celebrating its sixth year of
honoring superlative achievement in music, entertainment and sports
with
the BET Awards '06, hosted by comedian Damon Wayans, BET is on yet
another mission to crown this year's Ultimate
Fan.
The BET Ultimate Fan Sweepstakes kicked off on April 17, 2006 via an online
campaign on BET.com. From the thousands of BET.com users who entered, 10
semi finalists were selected and submitted videos demonstrating why they
should be the
BET Awards '06 Ultimate Fan. The best four videos were
selected and posted on BET.com for users to vote on who should be in the
BET Ultimate Fan. The grand prize winner will receive a VIP style trip
for two to the BET Awards '06 in Los Angeles, along with the opportunity
to walk down the star-studded red carpet, co-present the Viewers' Choice
Award, attend the infamous BET Awards after-party, and spend a
$2,500
cash prize.
FINALISTS:
Daryl Hall, 28 from Tulsa, OK,
may perform the Bootylicious dance onstage while presenting the Viewers'
Choice Award if selected to be the Ultimate Fan.
David Ashley, 26 from Hammond, IN, is a big Michael Jackson fan and
threatens to "lose it" if he ran into him at this year's BET Awards '06.
Essie Smith, 24 from St. Louis, MO, is in danger of loosing her job if
she doesn't stop surfing bet.com for all the latest news on the BET
Awards '06, and do some actual work.
ReLynda Shaw, 25 from Washington, DC, plans to call on the support of
family, friends, school alumni, church members, co-workers, Greek
organizations, as well as organize a street team and post messages in
website chat rooms to win the Ultimate Fan sweepstakes.
selection process: The BET online community will vote for the
grand prize winner, June 5 - 9 on bet.com . The sweepstakes officially ends
Friday, June 9 at 6:00 p.m. ET.
BET AWARDS DATE/TIME: Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. PT at the
Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles
