Prices Announced For College Basketball Series At The St. Pete Times Forum On December 17 and 29, 2006 Florida, Florida State And South Florida All Scheduled To Play TAMPA BAY - As the St. Pete Times Forum prepares to host the 2007 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Basketball Championship in March, 2007, arena officials have announced that the facility will host three NCAA Division I games in December, 2006, featuring the University or Florida Gators, the Florida State Seminoles and the University of South Florida Bulls. Tickets will go on sale August 4 for the three games, allowing area college basketball fans the opportunity to take in some or all of the action at great prices. Fans purchasing all three games will receive discounted pricing. On Sunday, December 17, 2006 coach Billy Donovan and his defending NCAA champion Gators will play host to Florida A&M (FAMU), in a game slated to tip-off at 6 p.m. On Friday, December 29, 2006 the Times Forum will be the site of a Big East-ACC doubleheader as Florida State will host Providence and South Florida will host Wake Forest. Game times are to be determined. Only one ticket will be needed for the doubleheader. "The next several years will be very exciting for Tampa Bay as our community prepares to host some of the best college basketball has to offer at the St. Pete Times Forum," said Ron Campbell, President of the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Times Forum. "To help prepare for these big events, our goal is to begin hosting the state's best on a regular basis. We hope this year's individual game schedule is only a sign of things to come in the future for college fans in this area. We would like nothing more than to feature Florida's top programs in marquee matchups annually." Beginning with the ACC Tournament in 2007, the Times Forum is scheduled to play host to some of the top college events in the nation during the next several years, including the NCAA Women's Final Four in 2008, the first and second round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship in 2008, the Southeastern Conference Men's Basketball Championship in 2009, the NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship in 2009 and the NCAA Frozen Four in 2012.
