Symphony X at Firestone Live Show Preview
January 11, 2011 –– Symphony X returns to Orlando for one night at Firestone Live in downtown Orlando on Tuesday May 17, 2011. Special Guests Nevermore, Soilwork, Powerglove and Blackguard scheduled to open the show. Tickets start off at $22.00 for an advance purchase. Doors open at 7:00 pm. This is an all ages show.
Symphony X hail from Middletown, NJ forming in 1994. The band's self-titled first album was released in 1994 and was the only album to feature Rod Tyler on vocals. With Russell Allen, now at lead vocals the band's next studio album, "The Damnation Game" was released in 1995. On January 1, 1997 the studio album, "The Divine Wings of Tragedy" was released. In March 1998, "Twilight in Olympus" was released. On February 2, 1999 Symphony X released the compilation album, "Prelude to the Millennium: Essentials of Symphony" featuring the best work from their first four studio albums. With Michael Lepond now playing bass the band released, "V: The New Mythology Suite" on October 10, 2000. On November 13, 2001 the band's first live album, "Live on the Edge of Forever" was released. In November 2002, "The Odyssey" was released. Symphony X's 7th studio album, "Paradise Lost" was released on June 26, 2007 peaking at #1 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. Symphony X is expected to release a studio album in the spring of 2011.
Nevermore are from Seattle, WA forming in 1991. The band's eponymous debut album was released on February 14, 1995. In July 1996, "In Memory" EP was released and later in the year the studio album, "The Politics of Ecstasy" was released. On January 26, 1999 the band released, "Dreaming Neon Black" was released. In October of 2000, the studio album, "Dead Heart in a Dead World" was released. On July 29, 2003 "Enemies of Reality" was released peaking at #11 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. In July 2005, Nevermore released, "This Godless Endeavor" hitting #27 on the Heatseekers Chart. In 2008, "The Year of the Voyager" live album was released. On March 2, 2009 the compilation album, "Manifesto of Nevermore" was released. Nevermore's most recent studio album, "The Obsidian Conspiracy" was released on June 8, 2010 peaking at #132 on The Top 200 Albums and #13 on the Hard Rock Albums chart.

In 1997, the band released the demo album, "In Dreams We Fall into the Eternal Lake". They released their debut studio album, "Steelbath Suicide" on May 20, 1998. On Febuary 8, 2000 "The Chainheart Machine" album was released. On February 19, 2001 the studio album, "A Predator's Portrait" was released. In 2002, "Natural Born Chaos" was released. In 2003, "Figure Number Five" studio album was released charting at #43 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. Soilwork released the EP, "The Early Chapters" on January 20, 2004. In February 2005, the studio album, "Stabbing the Drama" was released peaking at #12 on the Top Heatseekers chart. In 2007, the band released, "Sworn to a Great Divide" charting at #148 on The Top 200 Albums chart and #2 on the Top Heatseekers chart. In July 2010, Soilwork released the studio album, "The Panic Broadcast" then later in the month they released, "The Sledgehammer Files: The Best of Soilwork 1998-2008" compilation album. Before landing on this tour with Symphony X, some of the band's Soilwork have toured with include Anthrax, Cannibal Corpse, In Flames and Killswitch Engage.
Powerglove Is from Boston, MA and formed in 2005. The band's debut EP, "Total Pwnage" was released in 2005 and re-released in 2008. On October 31, 2007 the band's debut studio album, "Metal Kombat for the Mortal Man" was released. Powerglove's latest studio album, "Saturday Morning Apocalypse" was released on September 28, 2010 via E1 Music. Some of the band's Powerglove has toured with include Dragon Force, Psychostick and Turisas.
Blackguard are from Montréal, Québec and formed in 2001. In 2005, they released a self-produced demo album giving them out for free at shows in Montréal. In 2007, the studio album, "So It Begins" was released and In 2008, "Profugus Mortis" was released. Blackguard's latest studio album, "Firefight" is scheduled for release on March 29, 2011 via Victory Records. Some of the bands Blackguard have toured with include Behemoth, Darkest Hour and Lacuna Coil.
