The Radiators at The Plaza Theatre Show Preview

January 7, 2011 –– The Radiators return to Orlando for the last time as their Farewell Tour is scheduled for one night at The Plaza Theatre in Orlando, FL on Monday April 11, 2011. Doors Open at 7:00 pm. Tickets cost $18.00. This is an all ages show.


The Radiators

The Radiators are from New Orleans, LA and formed in 1978. Their first album, "Work Done on Premises" was released in 1980. Their next album, "Heat Generation" was released in 1981. In 1987, they released their first major label release, "Law Of The Fish" which peaked at #139 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. Two songs from the album Doctor, Doctor and Like Dreamers Do both ended up being top 25 hits on the Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart. In 1989, "Zig-Zaggin' Through Ghostland" was released peaking at #122 on the Top 200. The song, Confidential peaked at #8 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart. The 1990's saw The Radiators release 5 studio albums and 2 compilation albums. In 2001, they released a self-titled studo album. The live album, "Earth vs. The Radiators: the First 25" was released in 2004. The Radiators most recent studio album, "Dreaming Out Loud" was released in 2006. After 33 years as a band and over 4,500 shows The Radiators announced in November 2010 they were calling it quits. Their farewell tour is expected to last until June 2011 with a final show scheduled for New Year's Eve 2011

The Plaza Theatre is located at 425 N. Bumby Ave in Orlando, FL and is easily accessible from I-4 and SR 408.

About The Plaza Theatre:
Constructed in 1963 as the city’s first 2-screen movie theater, the historic Plaza Theatre is Orlando’s premiere live concert venue offering a wide range of concerts, comedians, and cultural events. In the early 1990’s, the theater was converted into a live-performance hall which opened the doors for many new artists and talent, while also acting as the 3rd largest seated venue in Central Florida. Ample free parking is available for all shows.
