Bright Eyes at Houses of Blues Show Preview

January 12, 2011 –– Bright Eyes return to Orlando for one night at House of Blues in Orlando, FL on Thursday March 3, 2011. Cursive is scheduled to open the show. Doors Open at 7:00 pm. Tickets cost $23.25 for an advance purchase. This is an all ages show.


Bright Eyes

Bright Eyes formed in 1995 in Ohama, NE. They released their first album, "A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995-1997" in January 1998. Later in that year the album, "Letting Off the Happiness" was released. On May 29, 2000 the studio album, "Fevers and Mirrors" was released. In August 2002, "Lifted or The Story Is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground" was released peaking at #161 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. Later in 2002, "A Christmas Album" was released. In 2003, the 7 LP "Vinyl Box Set" was released. On January 25, 2005 the album, "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" was released peaking at #10 on the Top 200 and "Digital Ash in a Digital Urn" was also released on the same date hitting #15 on the Top 200. Later In 2005, Bright Eyes was featured in the Documentary, "Spend an Evening with Saddle Creek" and the live album, "Motion Sickness: Live Recordings" was released. In October 2006, the compilation album, "Noise Floor (Rarities: 1998-2005)" was released on both CD and vinyl. On April 10, 2007, "Cassadaga" was released hitting #4 on the Top 200 selling over 55,000 copies in the first week of release and winning a Grammy Award for Best Recording Package. Bright Eyes next studio album, "The People's Key" is scheduled for release on February 15, 2011. Bright Eyes won Artist of the Year and Song of the Year at the 2006 PLUG Independent Music Awards and have appeared on Pancake Mountain, The Late Show With David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno televions shows.


Cursive

Cursive formed in 1997 in Omaha, NE. They released their first album, "Such Blinding Stars For Starving Eyes" on September 9, 1997. After the break up of the band in 1998, Cursive posthumously released the studio album, The Storms of Early Summer: Semantics of Song" in the fall of 1998. Reforming again in 1999, they released their 3rd studio album, "Domestica" on June 20, 2000. In 2003, "The Ugly Organ" album was released. In 2005, the compilation album, "The Difference Between Houses and Homes" was released hitting #21 on the Top Heatseekers chart. On August 22, 2006 "Happy Hollow" was released peaking at #96 on the Top 200 Albums chart. Cursive's most recent stuido album, "Mama, I'm Swollen" was released in March of 2009 debuting at #104 on the Top 200. On March 13, 2009 Cursive made their network television debut performing the song,From The Hips on the Late Show With David Letterman.

Doors open at 7:00 pm with the show starting at 8:00 pm. Ticket prices are now on sales and are $23.25 for an advance general admission standing tickets and $26.25 for a day of show purchase. Tickets can be purchased by logging onto the LiveNation website or visiting the House of Blues Box Office. House of Blues is located at 1490 E. Buena Vista Drive in Downtown Disney Westside and ample free parking is available. All dates, acts and ticket prices subject to change without notice.
